A Face From a Forgotten Thought

CreatedMarch 8, 2024
MediumGraphite on archival paper

Sometimes an image appears without a story, a name, or a reason — only a quiet impression waiting to be captured.

This portrait began as a passing thought: a face imagined for a moment and preserved through pencil lines. It is not a portrait of someone known, but a glimpse into the strange place where memory, imagination, and observation meet.

The longer we look, the more questions appear. Was she lost in thought? Was she remembering something? Or was she simply a character created by the mind for a single moment before becoming permanent on paper?

Like a fragment from an unfinished poem, the drawing leaves space for the viewer to create the story that was never written.
