A Little Piece of Forever

What is it that makes a person unforgettable — their smile, their voice, or the story hidden inside their eyes?

Some moments are remembered not because they were extraordinary, but because of the way someone looked at the world. This portrait began with that quiet feeling: the wish to preserve a single expression, a single glance, and the emotion carried within it.

The eyes become the place where the unseen lives — thoughts never spoken, memories never explained, and feelings that words cannot completely describe. Through pencil and shadow, the portrait tries to capture not only how she appears, but how she exists in the memory of someone who cares for her.

Like Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote in How Do I Love Thee?, love is measured not only by what is seen, but by the depth of feeling behind it:

"I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach..."

This drawing carries a similar idea — that affection is not simply about possessing a moment, but about honoring the small details that make someone irreplaceable.
